I'd think the cooling effects of air flow would still be better with the original scoop. I say keep it the way it is.

1- do it.
2- 5-7° makes no improvement under the hood. (nor in operation)
3- thermotech that dang turbo. it NEEDS that the most.
4- i sold mine (joe's car NEEDED it more)

that 5-7 is an approximation in the underhood temps, not IAT.

best way to flush the intake temp is with the fogpanel intake. that's an easy 10°F cooler, with the ability to regain ambient temps instantly.....

your black sti will look correct w/ the CF piece; my good ole crystal G looks odd, imo.
