Need Help On My Direction
I know that Mastro has another APS SR30 turbo on sale for $995.00 in stock. I bought their other one and they have one more for that same price. Its a better quality turbo and produces the same power.

Have you thought about a td05-16g? They are a little less expensive, but fully upgradable. So, if you get some extra cash down the road, you can upgrade to your needs (i.e. 18g 20g), because you will ALWAYS want more. Plus, when you buy a Mitsubishi turbo from Deadbolt, you get free rebuilds for life. That's what my plan was for my WRX before I traded her for the LGT.

preset maps always are far from perfect... you live in florida, the map may have been designed around pump gas and climates in california... ALWAYS ALWAYS tune a car properly, it will be the determining factor in powerband... ive seen a VF22 spool like an SP74 does on a supra, wait until 4200k slam into boost... and the wrx wasnt making 700+hp like that supra was
the tuning was horrible, and prevented the car from using the timing advance and etc.. to spool the turbo. I believe it was a utec car on a VF34 map
nevertheless, if you are willing to try to go faster, spend the money wisely and find a good tuner, it doesnt matter the management, so long as your tuner can use both, and all the capabilities are there... out of all the driving you do, you will like the available midrange power and so forth that a proper tune can give you, otherwise you can deal with hiccups and silly amounts of lag, for turbos not flowing a whole lot of power!!! just make sure either you are fully capable of tuning the car, or you find someone who it... the sum of all the other expensive parts you buy will be determined by your tuner

I couldn't agree more, tuning is everything. In all honesty, anything larger than a vf34 is going to start decreasing the reliability of the factory shortblock and 5-speed. Its all a matter of how long you intend on keeping your car, if you plan on upgrading your gearset /shortblock down the line. The nice thing about the 18g compared to the vf34 is its ability to make some great power in higher boost levels if you ever wanted to run water injection or race gas, both making it safer to run more power on the stock block. If you can put down 300awhp on a safe tune and get some RA gears, i'm quite sure you car will last as long as it would stock, with almost twice the power. Its a nice goal to shoot for. What's 300awhp good for, about a 12.5-6? Sounds like z06 territory
