the car holds its value pretty well so you are better off buying a new one. also noone buys an STi to be nice to it. any used you get will have been beaten on at some point. i havent had any issues whatsoever at this time.

Used=Abused
Also-last question i promise

hit me up on AIM. ill go over with you ever thing i got and what i spent. you know how fast the car is
Yeah nothing I think compares for the bang for the buck for a skittle, but Sti's arent too expensive to modify. Also I don't believe there will be any changes in the 06 model but many many changes in the 07 model (completely different look, more horsepower etc...) First mods I think for a Sti would be some kind of engine management Ecutek, Utec, or Accessort $600-$1000 probably 30-40 h.p increase. Then turboback exhaust which is downpipe+catback $500-$1100.
They're very easy to work on. They're born from the need to make repairs on a rally course.
Get an 05. If I am not mistaken the 2006+ models are switching to some new OBDII protocol called "CAN" and it's going to be a clusterfuck.
