Default quality of a subaru

How is the quality of these things? I don't know to much about the reputation of the work they do. How do they take the abuse over the years?

I ask because I really really like the wrx maybe an sti probably not

I am pleased mechanically with my 02 wrx,111,000+ miles still runs and drives like new.
only complaint is the paint sucks!!!!subaru does not prep the bumpers correctly and the paint does not stick so well, mine and a few others i have seen the paint just flakes right off!

My 03 WRX had 65,000 miles on it, the only reason that the motor went is because i kinda wanted it to happen, it gave me a reason to build the motor. The WRX is the best car i have owned to date and i recomended to anyone who want a fun daily driver

do tell!!

as for the quality, well, IMO, they have come along way in the last decade.

gone are the days of the "sparetire" in the engine bay.....

as for any purpose built production car, the sti is big on performance, and less on total fit/finish/ride comfort. it is STILL much improved in the last decade though, so give the impreza lineup a serious look over....

well I plan on getting into manufacturing car body parts. Of course not out of the steel but out of fiberglass and carbon fiber. I am just looking for a car to buy (I need a new one also) and to test my products on. sort of a testor. I already make a line of racing go kart bodies. I have some molds i'm working on now just to play around with the size of them since they are about double the size. oh yea and it is r.t.m. molds so it isn't hand landed or the chop methond. It is better and stronger than that

just think that the imprezas have been around since 93, and even before that there were the loyale and more. (Yes putting a spare tire under the hood was cool then LOL-esemes)
A lot of subarus that I seen have high mileage motors and last years and years. People just arent familiar with them as much thats all.
