I just did the same swap from stock to RA's. It's nice to be in the powerband all the time now, even with a VF22. I guess it's time the upgrade the blower now, perhaps a 20g.

Will let you know, blackwagon. The current buyer has been in good communication with me (in fact, just called as he said he would), is solidly interested, and will be here either tomorrow or Monday. His transportation situation is in bad shape, hence his need for the gear set.

It's not for everybody, and it's expensive, but I am glad I did it for the increase in gear strength alone. They're not for your casual or "showy" WRX owner.

They have slowed my interstate driving down too, which is a good thing (80MPH at 4000RPM gets old real quick).
Agree with all of this. The WRX should have had the RA gears as an option or better yet, they should have been the stock gearset to begin with. I've really enjoyed mine, though the crappy Subaru design has ultimately led to the sporadic 3-4 shift grind returning for me. Subaru must have had a less than talented engineering team working on these cars back in the 90s, when these trannies were originally designed.

Apexi wrx, please let your interested party know that I want these sold by Saturday PM.

There are people in line with cash in hand, eager to pick them up.

blackwagon, if they are still in my garage by Saturday 10PM, they're yours to pick up Sunday if that works for you.
