boost creep fix
After the Ecutek you will not see it as much. You will have the problem if you really get on it in 5th or 6th gear or if you get near 155mph which ever you do first. So the answer is now Ecutek will not eliminate it completly just minimize it.
Now I have a question, how hard is it to port the waste gate? What part do I need? I know I saw this before on here...

The problem is mechanical. Tuning can only do so much to help, but the issue is still trying to get the exhaust gases out of the wastegate fast enough to prevent the spikes.

EDIT: If the $175 includes removal and install I can see it being a little better but $175 for a minor port seems a bit much.

There are 2 pretty decent write ups on what to do. You'll have to read through some crap to get to the good stuff.

Exactly. And why pay $175 for it? All that's required is to grind down one small area on the wastegate. You don't even have to touch the flapper mating area so there's nothing to be too scared of.

We had one car with a ported turbo and we had all kinds of problems tuning it. Just make sure its done right.
