That is/was my car and I still don't know if it's toatled or not. Yes, I was totally fine and left the accident without an scratch or sore. I'm just glad my very pregnant wife wasn't in the car with me.

Everyone involved in the accident was fine but the guy in the PT suffered some minor head injuries as a result of not wearing seat belts and no airbag deployment. I haven't pulled the police accident report yet but there was reason to suspect at the time there was alcohol involved. Basicly, the guy in front of me in the PT ran right into stopped traffic piling up 3 stopped vehicles into each other in front of him. I didn't see any brake lights on the PT and just all of the sudden he went from going 35-45mph to 0mph when he impacted and unfortunatly luck, reaction time and distance wasn't on my side that day.

I know you are kidding but I would appreciate it if you didn't even joke about steeling crap off the car or doing anything else to it as it currently stands it's still my property and anything stolen damaged from the vehicle wouldn't be covered by the accident claim. The situation sucks bad enough at it is and I really don't want any more hassles.

Hood aside and few other non ciritical parts in the front engine bay it visually apears to be fine past the bumper beam. The engine is currently being checked out now at Mastro as it looks like the timing belt might of skipped a few teeth. Based on that I'm guessing a new engine will be added to the repairs if the car isn't totaled out by insurance.

I was hoping the car will be totaled out by the insurance company so I can pickup a new Legacy GT but honestly at this point I would be really suprised if it's totaled even if the engine is replaced (engines aren't that expensive).

Either way, shit happens and you just have to deal with it.

Last time I talked to them last week they still didn't have a copy of the police accident report.

I'll let everyone know how it turned out once everything has been resolved.

My insurance company required my car to have repairs exceeding 85% of the price of the car new to total. Needless to say the car got fixed.
