I think it depends on the parts and the people you talk to. I agree that most everything with the "STi" badging is going to be grossly over priced. Some of the parts are a nice step up from the stock WRX equipment and some aren't worth it. Alot comes down to comparitive shopping and seeing if you can't pick up something better then the STi part for cheaper.

not really overrated just over hyped...but i do believe they are overpriced....

and who wants all that pink anyhow?

I agree with Opie. It's good stuff, for the most part, but it's definitely a long way from cheap. Considering the fact that they outsource a lot of their STi parts manufacturing to companies like Exedy and Samco, you can usually find similar or superior parts for less. I hear their racing engine internals are fantastic, but $1000 for a set of pistons can be tough to justify.

god damn right..... faster then people that waste their money to have STi (or any other overpriced factory race parts) shit that doesnt do dick more then something 1/2 the price.
