you get points based on where you post essentially. tech forums get you more points.

It cool...Basically what Leslie said is correct, but to clear it up further...

You earn quality points by posting, much like post count. But, you will earn more quality point based on the length of your post. Also the point scale is higher for the Tech forums as opposed to in Free For All.
