Default I'm suck at driving. parking brake left on for a bit.

I can be a serious idiot, I had the parking brake on and I drove for a couple miles(kinda got on it too). I was tipped of by the "you're an idiot the parking brake is on light ". I'm having a serious hard time even admitting I did this on a public forum. I swear I'm usually not this dumb, I swear!

My rear brakes are squeaking a bit now(AXXIS Ultimate pads in the back) and I'm not sure if I should be worried. Any possible damage short of a little used up brake pad? I'm just not exactly sure how the parking brake works with the hydralic brake system and I'm feeling too lazy to look it up in the factory manual tonight.

Any educated thoughts? How's that fancy parking brake work? Any possible damage?

I thought of that. That should only be problem if wheels are locked which that never happened as the parking brake is pretty whimpy. I think the diff gets hosed when people pull the parking brake hard to lock up the rear wheels WRC style to get around corners like a crazy mofo.

You need to shutup with scary ass comment like that though. The diff is just fine, the diff is just fine, the diff is just fine. I'm going to bed now and if I have trouble sleeping tonight I'm kicking your ass.

Just noticed something new, "Quality points", how's that work? Holy crap I loose major points for this stunt, right? Besides you only have 4 points, so nah!

I would not worry about it. I have done it a couple of times too. Mostly when I'm in a rush leaving a parking space to catch up with someone.

If you do it everyday then I would worry about the diff, otherwise you will be fine.

I yank my e-brake everyday leaving our dirt parking lot. I need to stop because I am usually behind Alan when he does it and I can't see a thing through the dirt.

Luke - you need a checklist dude. Here's a good start for ya:

1. Clothing
2. Keys
3. Wallet WITH license
4. Make sure that all car doors are closed, seatbelt is fastened
5. Press brake, release e-brake, depress clutch
6. Insert key, start car
7. Engage reverse (or first) and pull away

Follow that quick checklist when preparing to go anywhere in your car and you should be able to avoid posts like this one in the future. Just tryin' to help a brother out.
