In over my head? Hardly

You underestimate me, young one!
Here's the engine I built for my Mach:
2003 Ford Mustang Cobra Mach 1 Hybrid - 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords
Not only am I going to do it (and by myself) - I'm going to put together a kit for other people to do it too
All of this information is known. Yes, it fits with 4.6 mounts. Yes, it requires manual or hydroboost brakes. No, it does not come with a way to mount a power steering pump..you must fabricate a bracket or do something else

- Yes, is uses a stockish type RETURN fuel system...so you can use factory everything except you need to adapt the lines to your EFI regulator and return line...obviously need alarge in-tank pump. Not all 4.6 K-members will work. I know Maximum Motorsports does, which is what I'm getting.
There are quite a few pluses, IMO.
-Lightweight
-Great NA power
-FORD
-Smooth idle (compared to a similar HP SBF)
-OEM Reliability (hard to beat this)
-Great engine for drag or road racing (can take abuse)
IMO, the ONLY negative is the price - and even THAT isn't bad. Basically $7000 for the engine, computer and harness - gets you intake to oil pan. Yeah, the suspension and some other stuff will cost - but those are things that I planned on doing anyway.
Let's just say that I have some tricks up my sleeve.
Hurst, BTW - I did sell that Dart motor for what I was asking
