Thanks for the tip...I'll take a few parts off and strip em down and apply the polish to see what happens. John, any idea on how long it usually takes for rust, tarnish, or corrosion to start appearing on the pieces, and which pieces are the most problematic? I was thinking about stripping it down, polishing it up and then using some of this stuff to protect it from oxidization.

Not too positive about how well that would hold up around areas like the exhaust manifold though.
that VHT stuff holds up decently well. I had a bright orange exhaust manifold for about 2 years. only places it had issues was where it got banged up.
