If I was to join, i'd do it for a multitude of reasons, mainly for personal reasons that are extremely hard to explain. For some odd reason, I always wanted to do infantry, or fly. But I wouldn't want to have to go back to school for a couple years, just to be able to enlist as an officer.
you wouldn't want to have to do just a couple more years to go as an officer? do you understand how competitive it is to go officer? not only do you have to have awesome test scores, you also have to do great on the prt, have really good letters of recommendation from all of the employers you've ever had and additional character references from people who hold leadership roles in society. oh, and you have to write a stand out personal statement. that's all on top of an amazing gpa and extensive list of extra curriculars.

going officer is the difference between starting your career at 1500/month pay or 3000/month pay
