Happy Veterans Day "FREE FOOD"
dunno if youre being sarcastic or not but those are terrible reasons for joining imo. i see it all too often, ppl join seeing commercials or hearing stories of guys in the service doing badass shit... sure theres plenty of cool shit to do in the military, but what recruiters fail to tell people is how much bullshit there is to deal with, lots of mindnumbing downtime, ect. it wears ppl out quick. i love my job but just like the family guy episode on the army 'your experience may vary' lmao

) so i'll let you use your good judgement to decipher wether I was being serious or not. If I was to join, i'd do it for a multitude of reasons, mainly for personal reasons that are extremely hard to explain. For some odd reason, I always wanted to do infantry, or fly. But I wouldn't want to have to go back to school for a couple years, just to be able to enlist as an officer.
You seem like a very bright guy, (although, hanging out with Ricky kind of nulls that

going officer is the difference between starting your career at 1500/month pay or 3000/month pay

that's because there are 20 other kids behind you who actually graduated high school and got 90's on their asvabs. if you couldn't even finish high school (no matter what reason) what makes you able to commit 4-6 years to the air force?
Funny you say that, 90 standard score is what? 1 afqt percentile.
I scored a 247 on my asvab which IF I REMEM7ER RIGHT AND THEY HAVEN'T CHANGED ANYTHING SINCE 2004 (i took it when i was 17 ) it would be approx. 92-93% over all on the afqt, I was in 3 years of Jrotc so i'd be an E3 upon entrance.
And reasoning kind of does matter, i had my full time work waiver (from the pcdsb) @ 17 I was working 30+hour a week while going to school. Closing maintenence at mcdonalds. And doing Pre-Cal Class on florida virtual school. In January of 2005 gulf high school contacted me saying i needed an algebra credit (which i took algebra 1 in middle school) they wouldn't carry over my credit....even tho they granted me access or use florida VS for precal online.
They would not carry over the precal credit in its place, So I told ghs to shove it up there ass, and that i was gonna drop out.
Money, Success....I am very work motivated when I have something to show for it. A diploma meant nothing to me. My mother has owned a business for 14 years, she has managed businesses for 25 years. She didnt get her ged until she was 36...if she can do it i can as well.
More then likely i'm going to be joining the Air Force Reserve In April...I just have to go talk to the recruiters on dale mabry

you wouldn't want to have to do just a couple more years to go as an officer? do you understand how competitive it is to go officer? not only do you have to have awesome test scores, you also have to do great on the prt, have really good letters of recommendation from all of the employers you've ever had and additional character references from people who hold leadership roles in society. oh, and you have to write a stand out personal statement. that's all on top of an amazing gpa and extensive list of extra curriculars.

) And I think i'd excel at the personal statement, because...Well, because im me. BUT, im not joining the military. I make almost 2 grand more a month than officers, so it'd seem kind of senseless to join and make less money, and fall down the totem pole of rank, compared to where im at now.
Too many people join for all the wrong reasons. I dont want to be in that bracket. And at this point in my life, im not willing to give up all the things i've busted my ass for, just to start over.
Although, I wish I could revert back 5 years, and try the military from that point on. I would like to see how I would have turned out. But hind sights 20/20.
