I am shooting out there with my 70-300 and also my 10-20. (if that gives you any ideas)
Also for a tip. Shoot in the mode that controls the shutter speed. If you don't have a IS/VR lens i wouldn't recommend going below 80.
If you have any questions Ill be out there early.
That is the event I'm actually getting ready for. Since I've never been to CFRC nor any drifting event I wasn't sure how the course would be. If I needed to buy another lens I was going to see what I can fit in my current budget if the 18-55 VR kit lens I have wouldn't suffice. Just looking at Nikon Len's prices the only one within my budget would probably be the 55-200. As the 70-300 is way out of my budget right now unless I go aftermarket and go with the Sigma one which is in my budget. All I know is I have till Friday to figure everything out. If there was a place locally I could rent the 70-300 for the Nikon that would be cool.
