With that aside, from what I've heard and seen, the Koni/GC combo is great for the price. You're getting high quality stuff for not too high of a price. It's considered on of the best combos for the EF without getting into high price suspensions ($2000+, Motons, etc).
OP, I've heard great reviews of the Progress Coilovers. I don't how much they cost for your platform or if they have them, but when I was looking at them for my CRX they where like $600 shipped. I chose AGX/GC's becuase it's a tested and true combo, and I found a set for $500/shipped.
for a street car they were great. not too stiff, and far better than any adjustable sleeve or lowering spring. i dont race competitively unless its on two wheels and on dirt, but even then suspension is probably the single most important thing. if i were to build myself a full on race car, you bet i wouldnt be using either of these setups. my teins are the SUPER STREET version. hence they are for a street car. all of the others i had driven were full bodied coils designed for street use as well. and for a street car they did their job. minimal body roll, but forgiving in situations where they needed to be. and far from bouncy. reading a race shop review on street based coils can be sort of biased would it not? i am simply going by the cars ive driven with and without full bodies. i can tell you that the quality of produce from tein is far from "hacked up," and the k sports ive helped install werent either.
