I am running on some Tein ss right now. I have driven cars with K-sports, Function/Forms, Skunk2, and Omni's also. Don't have experience with Blackworks or Blox, but I cannot see them being much different than the Skunks or Omnis. I liked best the K-sports, Function/Forms, and of course I am partial to my Teins.

It's funny that you like the brands that most people consider the shitty, JDM-fanboy brands. K-Sport, Tein, F/F. What is it you liked? Did they handle well, where they stiff, what is it about them that you liked? Almost every article I've read by a shop/person that races competively or knows what they're talking about mentions the above brands as just hyped-up products, when there are better products out there...

With that aside, from what I've heard and seen, the Koni/GC combo is great for the price. You're getting high quality stuff for not too high of a price. It's considered on of the best combos for the EF without getting into high price suspensions ($2000+, Motons, etc).

OP, I've heard great reviews of the Progress Coilovers. I don't how much they cost for your platform or if they have them, but when I was looking at them for my CRX they where like $600 shipped. I chose AGX/GC's becuase it's a tested and true combo, and I found a set for $500/shipped.

I wouldn't say TEIN is a fanboy brand. I've been using TEIN for years (except for the Ohlins in my Mirage, but used TEIN upper mounts for it), and I'll say it's the most cost-effective set that I'v ever used. I also had some TEIN basics that I sent out to get revalved to an adjustable like the SS.
In the other hand, K-Sport and Function/Form are fanboy brands (well at least the newer F/F are coming from a different chinese manufacturer now). K-Sports, FF ver.1, D2 came from the same chinese factory in GuangZhou.
But I wouldn't write off the Koni/GC combo. It is a good setup if used with their extended upper mounts.

One thing you wont get from a Sleeve that you get from a full body coil is that with a full bodi coil you Can Keep the full travel of the shock witch makes for a better ride.
