I have seen a Boss 351C make upwards of 700hp N/A on a engine dyno. Pistons were new, but crank and rods were stock peices. It had alot of BBC parts in it's valvetrain too.

My father inlaw built a Chevy 327 that made almost 600hp NA spinning 8500 rshared_pm. It had twin 600 Holleys on a tunnel ram intake.
