and medicaid is a pain in the ass to deal with when it comes to getting certain procedures done and getting paid in a timely matter. This isn't talk radio bullshit, this is real world knowledge.
I'll give you one example. I have a 39 year old brother in-law that is mentally handicapped and is on medicaid. He had 2 cysts on his head that would leak fluid and if he accidentally bumped them he would be in major pain from it. Medicaid told him and his doctor that the procedure to remove these cysts was not medically nessasary and that the procedure was cosmetic. Lucky for him there are doctors out there that do this kind of work pro-bono or else he would have had to live with it.
Thas the kind of bullshit we will have to deal with under a government rule healthcare system. You can have all the faith in the world on this fucked up government all you want but mark my worlds they will fail...
there isn't a bill out there on how the government runs medicaid....so what makes healthcare for all any differant????? I forgot.....common sense has all but left the US...+

Here is your logic failure in this thread. You think the government will be able to tell doctors what they can and can't do. I have no idea why you think this or where you got this crazy idea, as this has never been so much as suggested in any piece of legislation I've studied. What the government can do is REFUSE TO PAY for a procedure, just like insurance companies can and do on very many occassions. So, tough shit, hope you have private insurance that will cover it, or can put up the money yourself. Wanna know the cool thing, though? The government won't drop you if you become too much of a 'liability' like regular insurance can and does.
You're slinging a lot of insults around in this thread. Telling me I have no idea what I'm talking about, common sense has all but left, etc. etc. I'd like to know just what makes you so much inherently intellectually superior to me. Do you have some kind of PhDs in political science, or in this case the medical field? Are you a politician or do you have a career in the political arena? Are you a lawyer who helps draft these laws? I mean, from your condescending demeanor I figure you have to be something pretty damn spiffy...because it just wouldn't make sense for an average Joe to come around touting his superiority over another average Joe without anything to back it up.
