yes mazda does own them. So my question still remains the same. If they are such good motors why aernt they everywhere. One dealer doesnt just own a piston engine. Almost all manufactures own piston products that they sell. Ok mazda did win the 24 hour lemans once. Still they never made such a sports car so bad ass. Again it comes down to cost, parts, reliability and try finding a true blooded american who wants to work on a rotary. its just hard to do
alot of car companies like to do that. its just like the ls7 and ls9. why do they only come in only one car (iirc)? and your right, people open them and go "OMG WTF HOW DO I WORK ON THIS THING!?!" but theyre not that much more difficult then the recipricating engine to work on. its a matter of knowing wtf you are doing.
