He should take the 302 out and replace it with a 2.3T
The last time I went to the dyno there was a 302 on a 100 shot and our crappy 2.3T put down more hp/tq and the tq came in sooner with the 2.3T.
My friend Robert took his mostly stock SVO (3270lbs race weight) to Bradenton last Sunday. He drove the car 50 miles to the track, made 3 passes and drove 50 miles back home. He ran a 12.69 on 93 pump gas and street tires. Here's a video:
