You sell JL? What shop do you manage?

Pricing is a matter of opinion. JL sells itself due to years of quality product and innovation. Their customer service is second to none and if you call, and American answers the phone who speaks English (and you NEVER get a recording during business hours. That cost's money. R&D costs money. Innovations such as flat line subwoofers (13TW5) that put out crazy numbers in .825 cubes of airspace, HD amps that can fit in door panels but put out a true 1200 watts on 4 guage wiring without even getting hot, and the like-all produced in the USA.

I am not going to get into arguments about what a 12 inch sub with 4000 true watts going into it will actually sound like (which amp do you guys put on that one anyway with a true 4000 watts RMS?) compared to a 13W7 with 1000 watts RMS going to it.

I do know this, when we compare a 12W7 or 13W7 side by side on our display board with most any other subwoofer that a customer has brought in over the years, we have yet to have one knock as loud. This includes a demonstration a while back with a 15" Memphis MoJo that later went into a build we did here. Tons of just TR members here have come by and heard this sub and compared it to theirs-ultimately selling out for the JL stuff.

I agree with luke81 that (like every other brand out there) not all of their stuff is worth every retail penny that it goes for. But the tried in true amps and subs are still some of the number one selling electronics in their categories by volume. That is not by sheer accident. There are allot of pros and cons about allot of companies, but JL is by far the very best experience we have ever had with a manu all around...
