Because a lot of work, effort, time, and planning goes into something built properly, so for those who show up and go "look at my car" when they didnt turn a single wrench on it, showing that to a bunch of people who put hours, lots of sweat, and bunches of money into their cars, kinda makes the "hey look what i paid for" group not so respectful.
