Think of it this way, Your going thru the traps at 6900 rpms or so with an 07 STI with his mods. Now, at that RPM, your probably boosting 15psi? and making 250whp or so?
Shift to 5th at 6K, and your at full boost (21 psi with spike) and making your most WHP crossing at 6200 or more RPMS....
If you can shift fast enough, then your golden.
I will try shifting at 6500 or so, that's where my power/torque is falling off (at least according to the dyno graph from my protune). If that means shifting to 5th, so be it.
