99% of the time, the auto gets worse mileage than the manual. This isnt news, its always been that way. Modern day autos with more and more gears are more efficient than ever, but still cant match the mileage of an equivalent manual.
People who opt for the V8 wont care as much what mileage it gets. Regardless, the article claims that it'll have cylinder deactivation for the V8. Frankly, as long as you dont drive like an ass, the mileage will be almost as good with the V8, which is the LS2 last I read and not the LS3.
