We spliced z32 ans s14 cables using marine grade hardware (those little metal loops that you run cable around so its not overstressed, i forgot the name) and coating them in latex. Now that R33 cables are easy to find, it's cake.

I still have the stock (but rebuilt by me) s14 mc running both z32 fronts and rears, and I don't have any lockup issues unless I REALLY get on the brakes.

I had maxima single piston front calipers (that i rebuilt) on 03 se-r rotors on my old s13 hatch and those things would lock like crazy. but that could have had something to do with a 205/40 tire on a 16x8 wheel. haha.
most of the parts you can get at the parts store now... the easiest way to do it is to pull everything off of a z32 as one, or as close to one piece, as you can... the rest of it is either parts store stuff or dealership stuff.
glad to see that it wasn't such a mind exploding task for you.

any thoughts on trying out a bigger master?
more curious than anything else, I've always just upgraded the master too. I've never really run a stock master with z32 brakes...
