Negative again,..

Back in 89 I have personally dropped a 390 into a 81 Mustang and used a 4 speed toploader. No cutting or tweaking at all. The only issue was that I couldnt keep the stock console because the shifter linkage placed the shifter a little farther back then the stock shifter location. So yes,.. some cutting for that. But none to fit the bell housing or tranny in there. Plenty of room. In the earlier 74 - 78 Pinto/Mustang II cars,.. yes,.. those cars had very small tranny tunnels,.. a C6 will not fit with out modifcation.

TKO 500 and 600 tranny's mate and work in fox cars just like a T5 being in there. No cutting at all.
