Well if you think about it in terms of size,.. a 4.6 motor,.. 2v and 4v are actually larger in size with those heads then a 460 is. 460 is a little longer,.. but you have more room on the sides. A 4.6 is a very tight fit in both,.. Fox and SN95 cars. The engine bays and tranny tunnels are identical between the 2 cars.

The coupe I have now has a modified (hacked the f$%# up) tunnel.
It had a toploader in it and they butchered it for a Vertigate shifter, nothing to do with trans clearences
Find a blown up T5 and save up for a Gforce kit. $1500. Will be stronger then a T56 and you'll be much happier with the ease with which the swap will work.
