I guess I have more of a journalistic approach to shooting a car, much like you would see in any car magazine. I mean, take a look at any spread in a car magazine and you wouldnt see 10 similar shots of the car in front of various structures and locations. At one or two appropriate locations, you would have unique shots of the front corner, rear corner, engine, interior, rolling, etc.. mixed with a few close-ups of details that make the car even more intersting. The idea is to showcase the car's best qualities and features in an appealing format.
It appears that most of TR's shoots are for the owners themselves, which I assume have requested more of a scenic image of their car at a famous landmark or favorite location, much like the portrait of a family member.
I just can't imagine why someone would want 25-35 pictures showing the outside of their car in front of various buildings/locations that sometimes dominate the image and actually hide the car.
Just my opinion.
