Though I think they are very simmilar, Ive heard the DSG is alot better than the SMG or atleast the older SMG's that came on the E46 M3's.
Ive heard thr same thing. But Ive never driven a VW.

Again, I think some of you are still confusing automatic transmissions with SMGs. The 335 does not have SMG, only an automatic with paddle gimmicks. Not even close to being the same thing.
