The first evo got a late start on the drag but at least he was driving it hard, the evo X wasnt even pushing. It was auto btw... Im not saying it would have won otherwise cause im not arguing either way, but the tranny was shiftign right on 7k while the sti was slamming gears all the way up to and past 8k. the autos are faster in the 1/4 in the new evos, they have that dual clutch shit that works really well, rpms dont mean more power... thats just the difference in redline, 8k for sti and 7k for evo. he didnt use the launch control, the new evos (if im not mistaken) come with launch control.
