Why would you "+1" something that is incorrect? If that plug falls out then there is nothing there to make contact with the switch so the lights will not come on at all.
I'll agree with the switch being bad but not the plug. If the switch is good then I would look for a stuck relay or a short in the wiring.
hmmmm let see if the plug in the brake pedal came off the brake switch is open.and make the brake lights on all the time.
