ok when i cleaned my motor i used Greased lightning and a toothbrush and made my motor look new got pic of before and after using greased lightning, just make sure u scrub it good and get all the oil off and make sure that u cover any electrical items that will not get destroyed.

Grease Lightening is good stuff.
I covered up important stuff with plastic bags
Sprayed the entire engine compartment with Greased Lightening and let it sit for about 30 min or so, then hosed it off regular hose pressure, nothing too forceful and the engine looked brand new.
Best thing about it, it's biodegradable.
