Engine wash???

Default Engine wash???

okay well i need to wash my engine becuz there was an oil leak at one time and now i think i might have a small one but its too hard to tell where it is so i was wondering what i need to do to wash it i was told use limeaway would be the best but electrical wise what do i need to cover up sorry for sounding like a noob but ive never cleaned a motor thanks rep given to anyone who helps

Well I Did It My Self....... I Covered Up All Electrical Stuff Wit Alluminum Foil.... And I Sprayed The Engine... And It Was Fine... I Used Limeaway... Good Stuff

All Sensors And If You Have A Fuse Box.... And All The Wiring... Even Tho Its Wires.... You Should Cover It Up

Simple Green works great for cleaning engine bays. Just make sure you cover your air intake, and the distributor with a plastic bag. I wouldn't really worry about covering up every single wire in the engine bay. Just try not to put your hose on extremely high pressure when rinsing it off afterwards.

ok when i cleaned my motor i used Greased lightning and a toothbrush and made my motor look new got pic of before and after using greased lightning, just make sure u scrub it good and get all the oil off and make sure that u cover any electrical items that will not get destroyed.

They sell this stuff at autozone called gunk. Its pretty much Brakleen, but for your engine. You spray it on, then rinse it off. Ive seen it done on an H22 without covering anything with plastic. That shit is the shit.

yep its true ive used it, its good u can also get it at advanced auto parts
