What if you mistakingly shoot an innocent bystander? Aside from that, during a normal altercation with police (traffic stop for example) they're going to be alot harsher with you. In almost every scenario I can think of, carrying a weapon would only escalate the situation. I'm all for freedoms and guns...but carrying a weapon on a daily basis seems like overkill to me. Ofcourse, that's just my opinion....which is based on the my 24 years of life where I've definetly been in some situations....but absolutley never saw the need to use a gun.
Im glad you live in such a fairy tale world. I guess you can go ahead and invite the parents and loved ones of the victims of V Tech and all the other random shootings and acts of violence on over to your world. Out here where we live, people car jack at gun point innocent Asian college girls then shoot her AFTER they have the car. Out here we live in a society where at no moments notice your life changes when you are approached by 6 20 yr old kids there to rob you of your shit and kick you fucking ass. Granted ive never been in the situations ive described nor do i want to be, but, you never know..........
BTW, Since Ive gotten my CWP i have been yanked about four times. Every time i tell the officer i am carrying. EVERY SINGLE TIME i have gotten off with a verbal warning. And for your information, there are more laws now protecting your rights of self defense, you should do a little reading
And yes, i think you can go ahead and take the class, if i recall there were 20 yr olds there
