While I can respect everyone's opinion, some hub bearings have the seals between the center, and the outer race. So removing the hub/bearing using the outer race does not affect the seal. Pressing the bearing in by using the outer race does not affect the seal. and some seals are removable and replaceable.
We both agree that a bad bearing should be replaced.-Bob

Well you have to replace the bearing regardless if its good or bad, trying to press that bearing racee back into the wheel bearing isn't good because it will not be properly sealed and dirt and water can enter into the bearing. It would be smart to just replace the bearing. I don't know maybe you know something I don't. I haven't heard anyone reusing the old bearing when having to remove the hub assembly for any reason.
