I just hit them in there at an angle and the threads were fine, no problems AT ALL, maybe I was just a lucky case.
Just don't use your body weight to tighten them

the wheel bearing has to be replaced when you remove the hub. They are sealed. Its alot easier to just press it off and then back on when everything is done. If you don't have a press just take the hub assembly or knuckle assembly off and take it to someone ; take it to someone to press it out for you then re-assembly everything. Take studs with you, you can't install new studs with the hub assembly installed to the knuckle. At least that i know of. I don't know of any short cuts for installing wheel studs.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

DJ,
If you get the studs, we can press out the hub bearing,
to press in the studs....and put it back if the bearing is good.

If it needs a new bearing, we can install that at the same time.
Bring me everything between the upper and lower ball joints
except the brake parts.
You can drop it off, and I can have it ready overnight,
depending on my schedule. pm me to set a day/time.-Bob

I still have the bearing press parts I made to do
that same job sometime back.

Well you have to replace the bearing regardless if its good or bad, trying to press that bearing racee back into the wheel bearing isn't good because it will not be properly sealed and dirt and water can enter into the bearing. It would be smart to just replace the bearing. I don't know maybe you know something I don't. I haven't heard anyone reusing the old bearing when having to remove the hub assembly for any reason.

Instead of doing all this, can you use maybe a diegrinder and cut off the old studs and fit the new ones in? or is the front side with backing plate in the way of doing this? I know some honda's you can get away with that, But i don't change out alot of wheel studs enough to know this.

this guy hit all the options on the point... And trust me! These are your only options. I end up using the puller (3 guys range 200-300lbs and 3times ea. and we still did not get it off...) One side wk'd but we had to grind the other... All was a payne in the ass!!! Arm starts to hurt again thinking about slapping that puller... ouch!

Jag,
While I can respect everyone's opinion, some hub bearings have the seals between the center, and the outer race. So removing the hub/bearing using the outer race does not affect the seal. Pressing the bearing in by using the outer race does not affect the seal. and some seals are removable and replaceable.

We both agree that a bad bearing should be replaced.-Bob
