Tire wear alway sucks on these cars, so check them. The oil lines like to die requiring engine removal. The clutch is only good for about 60k with spirited driving. Replacement requires engine removal. Make sure that they have the 60k timing belt replacement done. This service costs $700-1000 and requires disassembling the entire front of the car and/or engine removal. Starting to get the point?
Oh, neat mod I thought I'd mention... swap to an NA rear setup. Removes gay HICAS, weighs 50-75lbs less, and has 1000% better gearing for great street fun. Same brakes and geometry, too.
You do not have to remove the engine to replace the clutch. Also no need to remove the engine for 60k service. Honestly if you want to get the car get it. Dont let anyone scare you away. It is a great car and you will enjoy it. Yes its hard for most people to work on the car but seems easy for me. I can change out the wiring harness without pulling the transmission or engine. You probably wont find anyone else that can do that.
Very true about the NA rear. The gearing makes a big improvement. Get at me when you get your car and if your interested in the NA rear.
