i had a similar prob when i did my B18 -> EK, cept mine blew cuz i didnt have the A/C mount on, and its a lotta weight for that little D16 mount.
I would suggest you have all 5 mounts (if thats what the EF's came with) to minimize overloading one mount...
IVe ran 3 mounts on my past 6 Swapped cars, never had any problems breaking mounts. I guess it depends on how you drive the car
