Hey guys.
I remember seeing a thread quite some time back either on here or on tbdsm about engine break-in. In that thread was a link to a site that theorized that, against common belief, it is better to run the engine hard during the break-in period rather than run the engine very gently.
The reason I ask is, a new 6 bolt engine just went into the eclipse, and I was curious as to what method of break-in you guys would use.

I would take it easy the first 2500 miles or so. Change the oil at 500 miles, 1500 miles then 3000 miles, then you should be good to romp on it, check the oil for shavings after the initial two oil changes.
At least thats how I was taught to do it.
