the problem is that these cars are so reliable, basically every USDM motor you'll find has 150k + miles on it. versus jdm motors that are likely to have under 50k. for example my ls400 has 260k miles on it and the engine still runs fine..

my 84 mk2 had 244k on it when i bought it and ran perfect. origonal motor. only pulled it cause i did the 7mgte swap. chic i sold the engine too put another 30k on it before her husband screwed it up cause he didnt maintain it properly. my 85 has 205k on it, origonal motor as well. i drive it 75 miles a day back and forth to work. my ls400 only has 167k on it though.

yeah but the idea is why pay 400 for a 250k mile 1uz, when 200 more could get you as much as 200k less miles?

theres so little difference in price its useually not worth it, same with 2jzge;s

i would jump on that sc deal as well, my motor has 200k+ and it did run decent but a couple seals were leaking oil and plugs wires were arking to one another but still drove it home and drove it to work for 2 days before i decided what i wanted to do with it. but if you still need it i will let it go for 250 minus the tranny.

I say pull one from a junker. You can find a decent shape motor if it hasn't been sitting there for too long. LKQ had 2 last weekend. Also a 2j out of a old skool 300gs.
