A couple of things that you should consider. Do what's within your abilities. Your average shop around the bay area will charge you $1000+ for parts and labor. From all your other threads, it seems that you don't want to dish out the money for a 5 speed swap. If that's the case, stick with the AUTO. Nothing can go wrong really. If you are looking for someone to do some side job and pay next to nothing for a 5 speed swap, there you will see problems forming. At least if you spend the money at a shop, you have someone to fall back on.

No need to thanks me, as you can see, I have not post things such as 'we can do it, for cheap, etc' here in this thread. If you want to get it done, get it done right the first time, trying to pince pennies will only make everything worse for you. Buying a tranny auto or manual for $50 from someone, what kind of reassurane will you have? Examples like that can go on and on....do it right. Want a 5 spd swap, get a new clutch, get a tranny with warranty, get new master and slave, all these parts will save you money in the long run. You want to go auto, you really will only have 2 components to worry about, TC and also the tranny itself.

allow me to say from experience that replacing that auto tranny with another auto tranny will be he biggest waste of time. whoever said there are complications with 5 speed swaps were wrong. however as ian said, the swap is not cheap.

save the cash and swap to 5 speed. you will come back and thank us afterwards.

forget the shops ill put your auto tranny in. ive done at least 20 trannys, 3 5spd swaps in various cars and alot of other random stuff in that area.

if you really just want another auto tranny put in, get the tranny from where ever and bring it to me ill do it for $250. ill be expecting you to help me lift the tranny back in to position thats it.

as for doing a 5spd swap specifically on a s13, bring it to a shop, i could probably do it, but you wouldnt have a rev limiter or reverse lights for that matter.
