Here you go again getting a big head and telling everybody you beat a H/C/I lt1 when all it had was a "baby LT4 hot cam" some mac headers and a tune. I was the owner of the red LT1 WS6. Just to set things straight you would not have beat my car with your "stock" LS1. When we ran my car was on its last leg and blowing smoke like a chimney ( I even had to pull over on the bridge and put a quart of oil in ) , but I was going to build the motor so I didnt care. Yes you did beat me that night though and that kid hanging out my window being cocky has never road in one of my cars again.

Mark- My cousin might have something you will be interested in. Its a black 98 Z28 w/black leather, t-tops, manual, and 01 LS1 out of his vette ( installing built motor in vette ). PM me if interested and I can send you all the info.
Tony

LOL! ok, you got me, but I am not a diehard lt1 or ls1 fan. They are both great motors. Stock for stock you cant beat an ls1. less weight and already has good flowing heads. You can easily upgrade to the L-92's which are also stock GM heads which are an awsome bang for the buck.

actually LS1s are MUCH more notorious for oil delivery issues and burning oil

I hear about LS1 oil pumps in pre 01's failing all the time, that why it's a common upgrade to go to an LS6 oil pump in earlier LS1s

my lt1 has over 200k miles on it and i line up with c6 vettes and ws6's all the time. thier stock but they do have the ls1's which is suppose to be faster than me but i have yet to lose to one. the vette always pulls me back after 100mph but ill be atleast a car ahead before it does and ws6's have just not been impressive to me. my car is overall stock, 93formula. cat punched out, performance spark plugs and wires, throttle body bypass, k&n air intake, shift kit (automatic) and resistor in air tempature sensor. im the one eluzzionz posted about a couple of post ago.

its not like i havent loss cause i have... just not to any ls1 i've ever raced.. im sure there are some real fast ones out there that makes my car look like its running on 2 cylinders but stock ones cant touch me. i dont ever plan on changing my engine.. rebuild w/ better internal.. yea ... but never swap...

actually this weekend im getting a new cam and lifters and doing some heads work..... just picking the stuff up though... not going to be putting it all in until a later date....

Will, I dont want too be mean but your acting like an ls1 is the only motor to have in a fbody......I've seen stock 6speed lt1 dyno in the mid 290's and then the same day watched a 02 6speed ls1 dyno the same.

This thread is about Mark and what he want not what you want.
