p.s. a 109 trap sounds like a 12.9-13.0 to me.
as for the cam'd LT1 for sale to say it only traps 109 and to make it the postboy for cammed LT1s is rediculous, the LT4 hotcam is probably THE smallest off the shelf cams made for LT1s and I'm sure you know this since you are a former LT1 owner. labeling him like he is the apitomy of cam-only LT1 performance is fairly closed minded, that would be like lumping an LS1 with an LS6 cam in as the same boat as LS1's with trex cams. cam-only LT1s have made high 300's in the hp and trapped high teens+.
shit my buddy with an off-the-shelf GM847 cam and stock heads made 315rwhp with stock 1.5 rockers, midlength headers, stock intake, stock tune, and breaking up on the dyno

And my 01 with a lid did 335/350. Not to mention a I could swap a cam in an Ls1 faster than you can do a tune up. In my opinion, and this is just "my opinion", but if he buys an lt1, in 6 months he'll be shopping for an ls1. I like lt1's, but when it comes time to buy, I would get the ls1 if I had the money.

Ya Im serious, there are no real mechanical problems, its pretty stock but I have mods I havent put on yet that I can include with it. There are no rips in the interior but it is still about a 6 out of 10. Has no dents or major scratches but the paint is 6 out of 10...
my crx does have vtec...lsvtec high comp. in a 88hf gutted...and at the time had the lightest oem wheels vx's...i guess my friends firebird formula is just lucky or running its best before it blows..cuz it has well over 200,000miles on it?
Wow this thread did not go the way Mark expected for sure. There are fast LT1's and Fast LS1's. Both have pros and cons which both Will and Alex know. My vert only has LT's, 373's, Intake, and a good tune and I have beaten LS1's that had intakes and LT's. Is my car just a freak or has it been set up right. If you use your head both can do just fine. If not your just wasting money either way you go. GL Mark.
