When I came outside, it took the police department about 10 minutes to finally talk to me. They couldn't even figure out what happened. When they rolled up, they though someone was in the Mustang and hit the house. The guy pulled up and said "Is the driver still in the car"? When I got outside, I clearly could tell what happened. Skid marks all the way down the street, throught my yard and right into where my car WAS parked, and out the other side of the yard. The thing I don't fucking understand is, when he cut through my driveway and hit my car he was driving on the rim. He must have been driving pretty damn slow when he pulled out cause there was no marks from the rim what so ever in the street when he exited my fucking yard and none down the street. I am clueless at this point. Even if I catch whoever did this, they won't be able to do shit.

 

Absolutely bro. I am a firm believer of this law of nature.

 

Cops have no clue what they are doing 90% of the time. Almost every time I have heard of something like this happeneing, the victim found the person on their own.

Cops have more "important" cases to handle. Rapes, and murders rank higher than a hit and run accident.....unless someone was injured in the course of the accident. And even then....it's lower ranking. Just sayin.

I completely understand about the more important cases. I'm not some asshole that is going to stay on there heals and bitch and complain about them not doing anything. I already know they are not gonna do anything. I told the officer last night I would call him today and let him know what I found, and if I could see any paint transfer on my car. I called this morning, and they said he doesn't return until Tuesday at 4 shared_pm. So basically my case sits there not being investigated for more than 2 full days.

Yep, thats my house bro. It's the corner of 20th St and 5th Ave. White house with a detached 2 car garage. My silver mustang is always parked up against the garage. I drove it a little yesterday, and I backed it in the driveway this time when I get back. If I would have pulled it in straight and they would have hit the back of it, they probably wouldn't have been able to drive away. Fucking Assholes......

as far as insurance, it could depend on what type of homeowners policy you have and who the carrier is.. some carriers will cover you under personal property or coverage c, but you would be subject to your All Other Perils deductible.

actually I live in Largo. But my best friend lives off of 20th and copeland right next to the plant. I see your car couple times a month when Im up there. Deeply sorry man. Im sure as soon as my buddy finds about your car, he will be sniffin around. He is an engineer at the plant, and knows about 300 frickin people in that town lol. Thankfully they hit your car and not your sons room. If someone hurt my little ones, not sure what I would do...
