Tons of 6 bangers for under $4k,.. some in pretty nice condition.
My wife and I searched for 3 months with a $4k budget looking for just a rust free 5.0. Out of over 30 cars we looked at,.. only found 1 down in Miami and it had a lot of other problems. Finding a clean daily driver with your criteria and your budget,.. um,.. yeah,.. let me know how that works out for you. Word of advice,.. pre 93 cars,.. when the odometer shows 25k miles,.. odds are its 225k miles.

And with a budget of $4k,.. be prepare to fix someone elses problems. I just went through this. You can follow my thread in the projects section. You can have a nice Mustang for under $4k. But you need to be able to do all the work yourself. Ours is almost complete and will be under $3400 total out of pocket including the purchase price. Finding a ready to go clean low mileage daily driver for under $4k? Unless you can find a meth head the odds are not in your favor.

Thats what I used to find ours.

Spend some time and dig around,.. make phone calls,.. emails etc. I dont think you need grown men to hold your hand for this.

the key word is patience. the right deal will fall in your lap eventually.
I sold my red 90lx 5spd hatch for 3500 and it had zero rust and zero problems. had a clean interior and exterior.
Keep looking at craigslist...and autotrader
