Exclamation 302 5.0 good running condition F/S

I just got a 1988 gt. it came with a 302 with a holley on it. I'm looking to go more stock, So this is up for grabs.
The motor has a aluminum high rise intake, a dual line 750 holley 4-barrel carb. And that's all I know about it. The car has 125k but I would also informed the motor has been gone threw. But no proof. Holds oil pressure no knocks or anything. Runs good I will drive until sold so motor can be seen and heard before pulled.

Im only selling since I want to convert it back to fuel injection. But
currently I used a 1/4 tank all the way from Crescent city where I got the car. So its pretty good on gas.
I am keeping the A/C delete.

Price is at $475 obo
or trade for a stock 302 long block with intake manifold ect...

I'll say it..

Something must be wrong with the engine,...

Unless you buying a crate motor,.. selling this engine and saying its been gone through and nothing is wrong with it,.. and THEN SAYING your only selling because you want EFI,.. throws up all kinda of red flags. Particularly if there is nothing wrong with the long block.

Doesnt make sense. If you want to go back to EFI,.. there is your motor,.. you say it runs great,.. then convert it back to EFI. It started out life that way.

Thats not right if thats true.

People like that give Mustang owners a bad name.

Thats like so many on cragslist trying to pass off their odometer with 86k as the original mileage. More like 286k. Then the ones that claim faded carpet, faded seats with the drivers seat worn to the threads,.. swollen arm rests, drooping map pockets,.. faded paint on the nose and wing,.. rusted out hatch and bottom of the doors rusting throuh,. Oh,.. but its in excellent condition,.. even seen few here on TR,.. just needs some paint! Nothing ever just needs paint.

Heh,.. this could get good.

Which intake does it have, and what is the list number on the carb? I'm wanting to switch to carb from FI. We may be able to do a partial trade. I have the tubular GT-40 intake.

P.S. It looks like your dizzy is installed a tooth or two off.

Its unfortunately true....Just look at his other post titled WTT carb's 302 for injected 302.

Also, I tried to copy the email but it doesnt show up (black text). The only reason that Im responding is because Ive been burned in the past.

Here is the exact link of the car. with the exact car i got.

http://staugustine.craigslist.org/cto/1366794885.html

But there is no proof of the work so i have it as a 302. Now diamonddog That must have been my brother but it doesnt matter he sent you the link to what I was told. Im not tring to burn anyone you can even come test drive the car before motor is pulled hurstmeister.

And I didnt stat any of the work I was told since I have no receipts. Im not going to say something I do not know for sure. If I did it would be a wrong. So as you can see its posted as a 302

Now that was a great idea hurstmeister. To just throw the intake set-up back on same idea I had. But I figured someone would want a carb set-up and may have a spare 302 pulled from a junk yard in their garage that is already complete and while it was out I could go threw it (Im like that i'll rather rebuild it then put it in and go threw the work twice).

No as for giving a bad name to mustang owners. Thats hard talk for something you know nothing about. It would be true if I posted like the guy I got it from saying it is a 347 ect... then it was pulled apart in the future and was only a 302. But im not im just saying 302 so if it was a 347 the buyer just got even better then expected. So keep that trash talk out of my threads please (I know it wasnt direct but it had intentions). Im a proud owner of 2 mustangs (1988 notchback and my 99 cobra down for TT's). I give a great name to mustang owners!!!!

And as for the intake and carb,

It is a weiand intake manifold The only numbers I saw on it are 8011.

OK now for the thread only interest's people need to post. Its in the as a F/T or F/S.
