for what its worth, i read a test article a long time ago where they took the "stock cobra cam" out of a stock 95 Cobra and replaced it with a regular HO camshaft and picked up 7hp?

really?i would have figured the cobra cam would have been better according to the spec"s i saw.never know,i have seen stranger things.what am building is stock 88 short block with gt40p heads and gt40 expoler intake.long tubes, off road, and flowmaster exhaust.i want to use 1.7 rr and stock cam,150 nos kit.i don"t want bump idle street carhad one of those already and i have my other car for that.i am looking for around 280+ RWH on the motor.i see alot of people doing with expoler motors with stock H.O. cams making between 280-310 rwh.

/\ thats not much. a stock HO cam is .444 with 1.6s, that = .472 with a 1.7

of course those are just lift #s
