Default tseting waters on drag acr shell

just the shell basically a complete car with no motor. im thinking about selling my project, i have no time or money to spend on an expensive hobby. it is a 97 true acr with about 63k miles. stock steelies and 2 15" rims with m/t slicks, no bumper supports, gutted trunk with summit battery box, moroso battery cut off, welded in cage painted to match car no rear seat custom rear firewall with nitrous brackets mounted in the center, b and m short shifter, booger bushings, gutted ac/heat system, gauge cluster surround with 2 small gauges (boost/nitrous) safc and a/f gauge, aftermarket moon roof, plastic racing seats with 4pt harnesses, im thinking about $3,000 which yes it is a bit high but the car plus aftermarlet parts alone add up over that amount. i also have an almost complete 2.4 engine turbo/nitrous which when all done i will have about $7,000 in aftermarket parts alone not including the car or labor and i know all together i wont be able to get $7K for it,

tons of pictures of you go on photobucket and search neondriver and look at my albulm

Very nice car, I've always loved it but you'll never get $3000 for a shell. Goodluck getting that amount for a good looking, fast 1st gen. No offense, because I was seriously interested until I saw the price.

yeah i kno, the cost is mostly from the aftermarket parts installed and a little from the shell itself, its basically a complete car just with no motor, im not going to sell off the engine parts until the shell is gone, if not ill just finish it up and keep it for a weekend thing

like i said:
yes it is a bit high but the car plus aftermarlet parts alone add up over that amount
yes boosted ist gens 3,000 lets see $500 for a beat up shell and 300 for s srt turbo kit on a 2.0 motor with a few supporting mods whoopie, this is a good condition ACR, with mint tranny, a custom fully welded, and custom sheetmetal rear firewall painted to match the car (here alone $1,000), m/t slicks on rims (here $500), summit racing battery box and moroso switch ( $90), plastic racing seats covers and harnesses ($275), b & m short shifter, hurst handle ( $150), gauges total ( $300), eibach springs ( $300), aftermarket sunroof ($200),msd dis 2 and tach adaptor ($200) thats not everything and you looking at a little over $3,000 not including the car thats just the aftermarket stuff. go ahead and buy used parts from the .org all you will do if run into problems all my stuff is almost brand new. im already at 3K in aftermaret parts on the shell i havent even started what i have for the motor, i cant help im not cheap and dont want to cut any corners when building a car that is going to have the potential to be verry fast...if something happens i want to be safe and not truse the neon restraint system or cheesy 4mph impact bumpers...anyway like i said the price is high, after the motor is done i have a little over 7K into a 97 neon which i will never get back unless i part it out which is why im starting with the shell

how long have you had the car, AND did YOU do everything that is done to it your self or did you buy it with some of the things...i remeber this car from floridaneons.org i beleive, it is red, had one seat in it at the time i think and blah blah blah...if this is it, then it had allot of the stiff done to it and was purchased with mods, thus you did not put into the car.

Now if it is not that car, then my mistake, thats why im saying this.

Yea, if I remember correctly he got the car that way. Atleast I know for sure that it had the roll cage, race seat, everything stripped, bumper supports cut, backseat delete and stuff done before he got it.

I just really wanted the roll cage & backseat delete.

Nope...

ACR's just have: Leather steering wheel, different ratio steering rack, different struts/springs, suspension stuff, some had a/c deletes. Some other stuff. Basically just a light, race ready car.
