This engine should not be put into a civic. You Honda guys have already enough Honda/Acura motors you can swap.

But I understand if your wanting torque in your torqueless wonder.

you can also get a pt gt motor or turbo light PT motor. Same engine.
More torque too with the longer intake runners.

Just let him do what he wants & stop hassling him. I vote YES for puting a SRT-4 motor in a Civic. Atleast they finally have torque, but make sure to put VTEC badges on it or else it wont be a Tampa Honda!

why all the bashing....if he wants to do it, let him do it no one has to be a dick to the guy...

As long as you can deal with more tq and a lower redline, I'd say give it a shot. A+ for doing something different.

I also vote to find a pt gt swap. As mentioned before, it's the same engine, all you'd need to do is get the srt-4 accessories such as the I-manifold etc and you're set.

Back to your original question about where to get one. I'd imagine there'd be a motor around here somewhere, or you can check the srt forums or even a junk yard and see if there's any fs in decent condition. I've never had to do this so Idk where exactly to look or to point you, but I don't know how much luck you're going to get on TR, since this thread has been more questioning your idea than helping you look for a motor.
